CRAFTSMANSHIP Category

Lilia Breyter. She makes unique, timeless, fully crafted items from knits made of metallic threads in her own specially designed loom. She reinterprets ancient craftsmanship techniques from indigenous cultures and translates them into one-of-a-kind items with silver threads. In this case, she is awarded for her silver bracelets collection.

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADER HONOUR AWARD

MANOS del Uruguay.
With a track record of more than 50 years, Manos del Uruguay is a non-profit organisation made up of cooperatives where women from Uruguayan rural areas produce handcrafted products. Driven by care for traditions and crafts, 250 women work in 12 cooperatives. They work for brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Gabriela Hearst, Dries Van Notten, Peruvian Connection and Stella McCartney.
