His works evoke the local mythology and folklore, mixed with a contemporary contrast that imbues them with a unique personality. The submitted work was made using a two-pedal horizontal loom, with a technique typical of his region: \u201cAyacucho weaving,\u00bb combined with modern techniques. With a background in architecture, he designs and manufactures handcrafted knives that become unique pieces. It took him 20 hours to complete his work, let alone the time devoted to design. The stainless steel blade was forged, shaped and polished by hand, and the handle wood was sourced from woodpiles or river banks.
